A simple way to make tasty spinach rich!
Recipe below -
Ingredients::
• 2 tsp ghee
• 1 cardmom
• 8 to 10 peppercorns
• 1/8" cinnamon bark
• 3 cloves
• 2 tbsp chopped garlic
• 3 dried red chillies
• 1/2 red chilly powder
• 1/2 garam masala powder
• 1 to 1.5 cup chopped spinach
• 1 cup basmati rice
• Salt as needed
Directions::
- In a pan, heat ghee and add cardamom, cinnamon bark, cloves and peppercorns.
- Next, add garlic and Add dried red chillies and let it saute.
- Next, add red chilly powder(this is optional ) if you like your rice little bit spicy.
- Add spinach, Garam masala powder and mix everything. Add salt as needed.
- Now, add rice and let it saute for few     minutes.Â
- Cook rice by adding double the     amount of water to rice. First, cook     covered on high flame for 5 minutes until it     boils. Next, cook 80% covered on medium     flame for 7 to 8 minutes (until the rice is     almost cooked and only little bit water     remains). Finally, cook covered on low     flame for 5 to 6 minutes until water dries     up and rice is cooked completely. 8. Instead of step 7, we can also add the     spinach masala in a rice cooker and cook     spinach rice in a rice cooker!
- Spinach rice is ready. Serve hot with raita    or any Indian curries!
Thank you!
