Goat curry is my husband's favorite curry (sometimes more than chicken curry) so I have learned to make it at home recently. This is my recipe that is always a no-fail and simple, which won't take much time to prepare at home and tastes awesome!

Short Video: One-pot mutton curry

Ingredients:::

• Oil

• 1 tsp turmeric powder

• 1 tsp coriander powder

• 2.5 tsp red chilly powder

• 2 tsp Garam masala

• 1 tsp pepper powder

• 1 tsp cumin powder

• 1 tsp mustard seeds

• 2 to 3 dried red chillies

• 1 onion chopped

• 2 tsp ginger garlic paste

• Curry leaves

• 1/4 cup coconut milk

• Salt as needed

Directions:::

  1. Heat a pressure cooker and add 2 tbsp of oil.

  2. Saute onion. Add ginger garlic paste and let it cook for few minutes. Add curry leaves. Add salt as needed.

  3. Mix all the dry spices. Once onion is soft, add the spice mixture and saute for few minutes.

  4. Add mutton pieces and mix everything. Close the cooker and let it cook for 4 to 5 whistles on medium flame.

  5. Once mutton is completely cooked(we can give more whistles if it is not cooked to our comfort), add coconut milk and let it cook for few minutes.

  6. Saute mustard seeds, curry leaves and dried red chillies and temper the curry with it.

  7. Tasty Mutton curry is ready to be served hot!

Best with rice, naan and rotis! Please try it if you like mutton!
