Forgive the non-Native. Seeing adverts for a local powwow.

Post Body

My nephews (I raise them) have really been getting into learning about whose land we live on. We live in Central ohio, so we’ve been researching Adena culture, been to mounds, Kaskaskia, Shawandasse Tula , etc.

They are advertising a local powwow and the boys are very excited to see it. I just noticed it says “No affiliation with any tribe”. I do not want to take them somewhere that isn’t actually presenting the culture in the proper/respectful manner. Any suggestions on how to vet this?
