Sub PSA: Please report fake news websites and rule violations!
Post Body

Ta'c léehyn, /r/IndianCountry. (Good day)

Lately, the mod team has been encountering fraudulent websites who are responsible for stealing content from legitimate journalists and news sites, both Native and non-Native. This trend has been noted publicly and now we are seeing these sites making their way to /r/IndianCountry, which can act as a giant aggregator for all this content.

Therefore, we would like to ask everyone to please report any website suspected of being a fake or scam site!

Because the holidays are here and it's winter time, people are with their families, on vacation, or simply kicking back. This means that the mod team isn't always around 24/7 to guard against these harmful websites. So if you happen to notice them, along with any other violation of the rules, we ask that you please use the report function located under each post/comment. It will go a long way with helping us to safeguard both you as a subscriber to /r/IndianCountry, the outside visitors to our community, and to combating those who are appropriating material from the rightful authors.

Qe'ci'yew'yew. (Thank you)
