I am sure many of us here have heard of the 'Idle No More' movement. As one would guess, there is a subreddit for this said movement. However, the moderators had all been inactive for over 2 years.

After this was brought to our attention, a request was put in to have new moderators appointed. This was done in the hopes of several reasons:

• To further spread Native issues on reddit and raise awareness.
• Expand the community of native subs to strengthen our culture via the internet.
• Create another alternative to /r/NativeAmerican where growth can be sustained and directed towards worthy causes.

Happy to say, we have acquired the /r/IdleNoMore subreddit. This is by no means a post to incite anyone to move over there as if we were done with /r/IndianCountry. Rather, this is an announcement to let all of you know that the sub is under new moderation and hopefully will be brought back into working order so that we can continue with the aforementioned goals. It will take some time in order to do so, but we hope that with the help of everyone here, we can create another active and living community for our people.

We encourage all of you, particularly those who are a bit more active than others, to post when you can over there and contribute to discussion. If you have any questions or points to bring out for the sub, we are open to suggestions. Please post them in this thread.
