Hey guys !

This is just my analysis about what I’ve seen on dating sites, obviously I’ve seen only girls’ profiles but I’m assuming it’s the same way for guys as well. The typical observation is that a large number of people on dating sites profess a strong love for their pets, maybe hovering as high to be around 40-50 percent of the profiles.

But this trend is not mirrored amongst the girls I know in real life. A very small percentage of them have pets, maybe somewhere around the 5-10 perfect mark.

So, my question is, is this disproportionate love for pets basically a metaphor for the need for loyalty and unconditional love that’s missing on dating sites ?
