Why do we never do a Team A vs Team B to decide who's good and who's not?
Post Body

For selection of players purely on the basis of skill, why do we never do a sort of Team A vs Team B scenario. like let's say for example, on one side we have the Odi WC team with a few replacements and on the other hand we have the youngster squad who didn't get selected. Why do we not do that for 10 matches and see who's consistent and worth taking with us ?
