Last Friday night, I was chilling in my apartment, scrolling through TikTok, when I heard music thumping from the rooftop of my building. I’m talking full-on vibes: bass loud enough to feel in my bones, lights flickering like it’s a secret party. So, obviously, I had to check it out.

I threw on an oversized tee and some sneaks nothing fancy, but it’s the vibe, you know? Casual cool. I take the elevator up and when I step out, it’s like I’ve been transported. People dancing, drinks flowing, and I notice my BIL standing off to the side, leaning against the railing, looking way too hot to be real. We’ll call him Pete

He catches me looking, and instead of turning away, I give him this sly smile. He grins back, and next thing I know, he’s making his way over, moving like he owns the place. He offers me a drink, and we start talking. Turns out, he’s here for me. Why didn’t I notice him before?

But here’s where it gets spicy. As we’re vibing, he leans in close and whispers, “Wanna see the real best view in this city?” I’m thinking, bet, and follow him to the far corner of the rooftop, away from everyone else. We’re overlooking the whole city now, lights stretching out forever. The way he’s looking at me? Yeah, he’s definitely not just talking about the skyline.

Without warning, he cups my chin, tilts my face up, and kisses me. And when I say kiss, I mean the kind that makes your head spin and knees weak. One of those kisses where you lose track of time, place, and pretty much everything else. We’re all tangled up, pressed against the railing, like it’s our own little universe up there.

Eventually, we hear voices coming closer, and he just smirks, like he’s completely unbothered, and pulls me down this hidden stairwell. We’re making our way down to his apartment—totally uncharted territory for me sneaking kisses the whole way. His place is dimly lit, all moody and mysterious, like it’s waiting for us.

Long story short, we didn’t see much of that view.
