So I got my first knight, a Questoris, and I want to make it a loyalist exile that wanders the galaxy in search of battlefields alongside a host of friends/family they've accrued over the years almost like an Inquisitorial retinue (Eisenhorn book 3 onwards) of fellow Psykers. I'll be painting a black knight scheme with gold or steel trim and Psyker runes in subtle places and along the carapace/head in blue to represent the pilot being a Psyker that stayed hidden until his exile (hence not being killed or sent away on blackships) with the purpose of the runes to serve almost as a ward of superstitions and/or a personal mark.
I'm aware of the superstitions of Forge Worlds and Knight Houses so I wanted to make sure this all checks out lorewise for those of you that know your stuff as I'm new to the hobby as a whole and have only read the Eisenhorn Omnibus and some of Gaunt's Ghosts but really fell in love with Imperial Knights.
If it sounds like a bad idea that can't work within the confines of the lore then let me know because I want it to fit snugly in the universe without being overboard or lame. If it's too unlikely that a pilot could hide in plain sight or if the rites they go through to be pilots would expose him, that sort of thing.
