Not sure where to go with painting.

So I recently decided to start a mixed Imperial Fist and black Templars army. So far I've primed everything in white and then did a full base coat in averland sunset with yriel yellow layered over everything to brighten up the yellow color. Now I'm just wondering what I should do next. Should I hit a wash over it then highlight? I do have access to an airbrush here.
