Dirty Germano-Celt migratory barbarian here with interest in further development of the migration mechanic.
The game starts a few decades before a massive Celtic invasion of Greece and the Hellenistic world (see here: https://en.m.wikipedia.org/wiki/Celtic_settlement_of_Southeast_Europe). It seems ambitious, lucky, and practiced migra-tribe players could pull this off but, knowing how PDX dlc works, Iād love to see the devs expand on current migration-based gameplay.
One need only look to Extended Timeline or CKII Old Gods for inspiration on how and when to buff tribes; but EUIV/CKII mechanics that would carry over well to this game are largely self-evident and have been previously discussed. Feel free to add more fun ideas to that list though!
On the other hand, what would make a sort of migration nightmare for more civilized nations more interesting? Specific buffs or defenses against migrant nations? Border defense ideas (static vs. flexible)? Governor and commander qualities made for resisting tribal incursion?
Would love to hear some more thoughts!
