Hi All,
I am a 26 year old Canadian citizen. My fiance is 18 years old and she lives in Pakistan. Both of our parents would like us to get married next year, however, there is one concern I have. Though the minimum age for spousal immigration is 18 in Ontario, I am not sure what the strength of her case would be given how close she is to the age cutoff (also I'm not sure it helps that she's from Pakistan). We are in a really great, loving relationship and have lots of communication. However, I do wonder if it's a good idea to maybe delay our marriage by around 3-4 years to strengthen our case.
I did research online and couldn't really find much information on this topic, so I reach out to this community for advice. Thank you!
