Hey all

My LCS. I ordered a TPB. They said they couldn't get it in. I managed to order all the singles, and I told them not to worry about the TPB (maybe like, 2 months ago now?). I read all the singles two weeks ago. When I told them not to worry about trying to order it anymore, they were like 'oh well we have already put an order in. We will see what we can do to cancel it.' and I politely reminded them two more times. I go in yesterday to pick up my pulls. Boom. The TPB that I don't need, or want, but am stared at rudely and made to buy. They even tried to give me another TBP that I *definitely* didn't order and he was like 'well, if you say you didn't order it then OK, but you are the ONLY person who orders Black Mask so when it came in I assumed it was for you...' and I'm like NO.

Also, there have been like three times when I have asked for a pull for a new title and when I go in to get it, 'Diamond didn't have enough' or, 'we didn't have you down', or 'we sold out'. This happened with the first of the new Sex Criminals arc - I messaged them MULTIPLE times on facebook messenger and talked in person, making sure they knew it was the XXX cover that I wanted and how excited I was. I go in to get it and OH Diamond didn't make enough. White Trees was 'we didn't have you down'. With Reaver they just kept ignoring my message. They straight out refused to even get 'Strayed' by Vault in.

Not only am I forced to buy comics I don't want or need from them (and they try that with new titles too, because it's by someone who made a comic I previously pulled) to remain in good standing, but I can't even get the ones I DO WANT!!!

Ugh. I am so sick and tired of them. Every time I ask them to get something in, instead of me ordering through Amazon, in an effort to support the little guy, they make it as hard as possible.

There are TWO comic book stores in my city. The other one is full of men playing warhammer or whatever and I stopped going in there last year, after I, in my new-to-comics naivete, told them that oops my friend had already bought me that copy of man-eaters as a gift. The guy behind the counter scolded me and told me they have to special order it in for me. Because no-one else wants it. This is after I had to wait like two months to get the previous issue cos the other dude behind the counter doesn't understand punctuation (hyphenated man-eaters).

So. What do I do? Probably every month or two I take a trip to the nearest big city, it's a 4 hour drive and I do have a favorite comic book store there. But I would have to wait for singles then. So much so that I might as well just give up and only buy TBPs from Amazon. I am currently only pulling SFSX (I buy the singles because it supports sex workers), Ice Cream Man because it is the best thing of my month, and Undiscovered Country but I'll stop pulling that after number 5.

I'm thinking I'll just call them and cancel all my pulls. I'll still collect the ones it's too late to cancel. This sucks. I used to have such a good relationship with them but I feel like they took advantage of that.
