in the order of what i'd like most
R now aims on your cursor exclusively instead of aiming at the nearest enemy. this feels like it shouldn't need explaining, I think our ultimate being potentially ruined by enemy positioning with us having no say in it is absurd in season 12. nobody else has to worry about this; they even let Brand bounce R off of himself so he wouldn't have to deal with a similar situation. It already works like this if we Ult-Flash; I think it should it work like this by default.
Some form of MS bonus implemented into her kit somehow, possibly after a tentacle slams she gains a small MS bonus for 1.5 seconds or something. I'm very fond of the old Stormraider's playstyle and think it made Illaoi much more interesting (and functional) than the current meta builds that revolve around beat-sticking people who get close to you. I think the management of your MS bonuses vs the hard commitment of Illaoi's cast times is really cool. Leaning Illaoi more in that direction with better agency to do her thing would help a TON, especially for good Illaois who can use that extra agency better.
Healing buffed from 5 to 7% missing HP. Illaoi is one of few bruisers in the game who has not had their damage or defense directly touched since Runes Reforged, and I think we probably agree Illaoi isn't short on damage. Her healing is made worse by the easy access to 60% Grievous and the nerf to Spirit Visage to 25%. Bringing Illaoi's survivability back up to par with some of the absurd draintanking some champs get to do with current items would help a lot, I think.
AA range to 175 from 125. I think this would be nice just because having 125 in this day and age feels miserable. It also makes the split between melee/ranged W the exact same which I think would be nice.
Bonus QOL: Add an indicator on your auto range for what range Illaoi's W will either melee or jump. I think this makes a lot of sense; they're basically 2 different spells and one can be interrupted. Knowing if I'll get the unstoppable melee or the dash would be nice info to have.
Thoughts?
