I've seen a lot of drug films, ranging from happy stoner films to horrifying documentaries about heroin. That's maybe the last very popular one which i haven't watched.
And it was a good one. I liked that it wasn't intended solely to shock audience like "requiem for a dream" for example. The film showed the realities of drug addiction at a certain period of time in a certain place and it's based on a autobiography with the same name.
It striked me how likeable the main characters are. They are just teens doing very bad things and destroying their lifes in the worst way imaginable, but anyway you are going to feel sympathy for them, because they just made one mistake - trying heroin.
I can recommend this film to any teenager, because it shows the dangers of drug addicition very well and it's not some stupid anti-drug propaganda.
