Today sucked so fucking bad. I had to drive 8 hours to drop things off only to find out I didn't ACTUALLY need to do that ...was late to see IDLES. As I came running to the venue I heard Joe singing. Then I heard the band...then...I heard it was Colossus. I picked up my pace..and was able to get in for the last few ..."it's coming"s ....then... like someone had Joe do it for me.. we parted. I was right the split. We collided and the show was fucking amazing. Thank you to everyone who screamed , sang, helped the crowd surfers ... and just being rad people. Thank you idles for putting your art out there for us to enjoy. Most of all, thank you Joe. As a person who struggles with addiction, father issues, and a mom who had her own shit. Some of these songs hit so hard. The tears that fell down my face as I watched a young kid play drums to Samaritan as I yelled "this is why you never see your father cry" on almost affirmation to mu children.... Can never be topped.... Until next year.
