During the Gulf war an American army unit encountered entrenched Iraqis. Instead of storming the trenched they approached the trenches with IFV's which pinned down any Iraqis with fought back while armored bulldozers came and buried alive any Iraqi's who didnt surrender. --- continue in description.

Post Body

No Americans died during the battle. 2000 out 8000 Iraqis surrendered. When the commander was interviewed about it late he said " "I know burying people like that sounds pretty nasty, but it would be even nastier if we had to put our troops in the trenches and clean them out with bayonets." do you agree with his assessment or do you think they should have stormed the trenches?

Whyyyyy would you send your people to die? Storming trenches is nasty as hell. You have a responsibility to keep your men alive.
