The meaning of life and the existence of god(s) are honestly only very weakly connected.

Broadly speaking most religions say shockingly little about the meaning of life beyond "A higher power felt alone and if you treat people right good things will happen". On a day to day basis and even from a big picture perspective the differences are genuinely not that big as far as outcomes are concerned.

"An incomprehensibly vast being thought it'd be funny" vs "An incomprehensibly large universe happened to bring you forth" both still lay the onus on you to make deeper sense of it all.
