I’m sure you never read these but here’s a hunter concept I thought about with my sister: (OC) The Marionettist (pretty cool so please check it out it did take some time and I would appreciate if you did)

Backstory: The marionettist gave regular shows with marionette figures that his father had made for him as a child. The father, now older, was severely ill, and the money from the performances was used to cover his medicines, even if it meant not eating for the day. Arthur was always in constant stress because every time the money was just enough to cover the medicines, and the performances weren’t attracting many clients anymore. However, one day a particular performance was going to be given by him at a gallery, and it was crucial for the medicine of his father.

Nevertheless, at the day and time he was supposed to give his performance, a prodigy child artist was having a gathering for everyone to view is art, which caused several of the potential clients to not attend the performance. The marionettist's father passed away as a result. After the incident, strange noises would be heard from the house he was living in, and the marionettes were reported to change places by themselves. A woman was found the next day dead in the middle of the street, and a piece of string was found next to her, which didn’t belong to any of her garments.

Abilities and traits

Trait 1: "A marionettist is someone who controls puppets attatched to a string. This is not always the case". The marionettist will sometimes lose control of his movements, and go in a different direction for one second. This happens once every 20 seconds.

Normak attack: The marionettist doesn’t use his fists to attack, but rather uses his marionettes.

Presence 0: The marionettes let out a scream that cause the survivors to scream back in fear and stay still for 1 second, and giving away their location. After this, their hearts will begin to beat from the panic, as if the hunter was near them. If the survivors are within a radius of one another, they are comforted by their presence, and don’t scream nor will their hearts beat.

Presence 1: The marionettist can throw one of his marionettes to the survivor in a straight line. If they succeed, the survivor's screen will be covered by the marionette's face and scream, making it harder to see where they’re going. During that time, survivors can’t use their items. After 10 seconds the survivor takes away the marionette, and the marionettist needs to wait 11 seconds to use it again.

Presence 2: The marionettes are more confident after inducing fear on the survivors, now when they land in one of them, they will inflict 1/4 of fear to the survivors.

The end

I didn’t bother with the appearances because I think most people won’t care. Also I understand some people may think he’s unbalanced, I’m willing to make changes. I wanted to bring back the “horror” theme of the game by making the puppets scream in your face. I understand jumpscares are the lowest quality of horror but nothing else can be done realistically with the censorship. I hope you enjoyed this concept! I have more.
