Do survivors expect hunters to be friendly when they spin after being downed?

I get that survivors spin when a hunter does first, or they spin before the hunter gets right next to them to kind of ask the hunter to be friendly, but my question is regarding downed survivors.

I've noticed some survivors spin when they're incapacitated, but I don't spin back because I feel like that's insinuating I'm gonna be a friendly hunter. So I guess the question is, if you're a survivor and you spin after you get downed by the hunter, is it just for the sake of spinning or do you do it to try and make the hunter go friendly?
