Living in a shared room and being out of town a lot. What can I do to prevent identity theft?
Post Body

If i canā€™t post this here is there another subreddit you would recommend?

My living situation is probably changing, and Iā€™ll be living in a ā€œshared roomā€ in a house with new people I donā€™t currently know.

Iā€™m also going to be out of town A LOT. I work remotely and travel, so may be gone months at a time.

Im concerned about people opening my mail and stealing my identity.

I watched a video that recommended I ā€œfreezeā€ the credit bureaus/ my account so nobody can check my credit (& therefore get a loan or open a credit line)

Is there anything else I can do to protect my identity?
