Edit 7/17/2024: Anne Taylor has started a private practice in Coeur D'Alene, according to the Idaho State Bar website. https://isb.idaho.gov/licensing-mcle/attorney-roster-search/ There are no documents indicating how her work will be funded, although it's safe to assume that the funding source will change consistent with the restructuring of Idaho's indigent defense services. The compensation would be directed to her private practice rather than the Kootenai County Public Defender's Office, which will cease to exist on paper as of October 1. (See: House Bill 236, page 2, lines 10–13.)
A Kootenai County document—signed April 23, 2024—outlining the changes in the funding of Bryan Kohberger's defense mentions the resignation of Anne Taylor. This is easy to misinterpret, so I have provided additional context below.
Last year, Idaho governor Brad Little signed into law House Bill 236, which restructures public defense services in the state. The new state public defender began his role on September 25, 2023, and his office will begin providing indigent services on October 1, 2024. The phasing for this transition began on July 1. Taylor's resignation as Chief Public Defender in Kootenai County is effective July 15, 2024, which is consistent with the timeline of the restructuring process.
This bill repeals Idaho Code 19-859 and 19-860, which pertain to county public defenders. Those offices are being replaced by the Office of the State Public Defender, as indicated in an announcement by the Office of the Governor: https://gov.idaho.gov/pressrelease/eric-fredericksen-to-lead-new-office-of-the-state-public-defender/

Replacement Capital Criminal Defense Provider Agreement: https://kcgov.us/DocumentCenter/View/23530/13-Contract-Agreement-MOU---Replacement-Agreement---Latah-County The current agreement ends on October 1, 2024, when the new office takes control of the services.

The new public defender districts are consistent with the Idaho judicial districts that already exist. The districts are indicated in this map:

In summation: Anne Taylor is not resigning from the Kohberger case or her job, at least not in the way that we typically think of a resignation. She will remain the Lead Attorney in this case, and Jay Logsdon will remain Second Seat Attorney.
