Which rumours can you remember seeing/hearing that actually ended up being somewhat true?
I remember very early on seeing something about the a surviving roommate coming face to face with a Man in black clothes, but it stated the roommate thought they were dreaming
From the start more "energised" and free-wheeling commenters seized on, repeated and embellished various rumours - exampled by Hoodie fleeing Moscow that morning to Africa via a hunting cabin.
We are still seeing tangential and unconnected rumours, such as student deaths more than a year previous, being repeated by Idahoes ( Bryan "fan" types) and Idahoaxers (Probergers untethered by any need for facts or evidence).
That said, the sheath left at the scene is a "rumour" that was true, but I think it was more deductive and logic based, as it was reported police went into outdoors/ hunting shops in first few days asking about KaBar knives, from which I think the sheath rumour started.

Yes, that was my understanding - and that by asking for a specific brand they were alluding, indirectly, to some evidence indicating the brand, which is where the sheath rumours started

The disrespect to Tenders and Meemaw is staggering. You are dealing with some folks who are both humorless and who also don't recognise true crime genius. I suspect reference to galloping knob rot may also have hit too close for some and they were just itching to downvote, literally and figuratively.

I heard this was with mens rea and up in the actus rea, while listening to Chris Rea (Road to Hell EP). Meanwhile Beekay had explosive diarrhoea (vegan Thai) - rumoured to be why he had no shower curtain, it having taken an indirect hit.
