The PCA states that at 2:42 Kohberger's phone pinged a tower in Pullman. It suggests that was at his residence. But how do we know that for sure? Couldn't it have been just about anywhere in Pullman as the one tower covers the whole of Pullman (at least on the maps I've seen)?
Then the PCA states that at 2:47 the phone pinged a different tower further south east and that indicated he had left his residence. Again this cannot be known for sure.
As for car sightings in Pullman, the PCA states that at 2:44 there was a white sedan observed travelling north on southeast Nevada Street at northeast Stadium Way, then goes on to state that at 2:53 there was white sedan was observed traveling southeast on Nevada Street
I don't think these car sightings line up at all with the phone pings nor does the first one line up with Kohberger driving from his apartment to any road going towards Moscow. In that first sighing the white sedan was travelling north on roads that are south of his apartment and not in a direct route to Moscow anyway. It seems to me that this car is very unlikely to be Kohberger's.
The other thing I would like to know is - what towers (if any) did Kohberger's phone ping prior to the one at 2:42? Also, were the 2:42 and 2:47 pings from 2 separate calls or just from one 5 minute call and was/were the call/calls incoming or outgoing? (I don't know if CAST data can show that)
I just think it possible that Kohberger might not have been at his apartment at the time of those calls. After the reports about Warawai Park visits, I'm wondering if, on the night of the 12th/13th he was already on the road and headed south to that location and that those two car sightings mentioned in the PCA were of another unrelated white car, of which there must have been around 10,000 in Pullman

Only if Wawawai Park was in the opposite direction totally transposed from its current position relative to Moscow and Blaine. How does the phone data from 4.48am showing the phone just south of Moscow and travelling, from the east back to Pullman, align with the phone being on the opposite side of Pullman at Wawawai to the west?
Going to Wawawai between 2.42am and the murders, as your post speculates, doesn't really provide any aspect of an alibi if he could still be at King Rd.
If Moscow and the University of Idaho get any more populous I fear they may try to annex Crimea or get embroiled in a small land war in Kazakhstan.

Was 2.47am, but how does a phone lose signal surrounded by 5 AT&T towers. Going west he would still be in range of the towers and pass more. The car s on video still in central Pullman at 2,53 heading south-east toward Moscow road..... Not consistent with Wawawai.
Also, how and why would a phone lose signal around there at 2.47am, but have signal consistently in same area and approach from c 5.00am? Signal surely doesn't depend on direction car is facing...?
You don't know that the phone was moving.
The phone is known to be moving at both 2.42am and from 4.48am onwards, and the phone movements match the car videos, helping localise/ confirming localisation of the phone.
You don't know that it was any closer than within about 15 miles
To state cell tower localisation is no closer than 15 miles is rather absurd. We know the FCC have regulations that 80% of 911 calls must be locatable within 50 metres using cell tower data; we also have other cases (one example linked below) where independent academic experts place phone location within 100 metres using tower data; we also have examples of AT& T NELOS and Familysafe systems showing localisation accuracy under c.300 metres. Irrespective of exact localisation accuracy, it is not miles nor indeed 15 miles. Why could a phone be located within 78 metres in Australia using cell tower data from 2 towers but not in Idaho within 15 miles? That seems very, very odd and baffling.

LE said white Elantras. The 22,000 cannot relate to the area of Pullman/ Moscow - unless by population everyone has a white Elantra. The 22,000 may relate to the total in surrounding states?

That is not really relevant or logical - the car was quickly identified as an Elantra. 10,000 white cars would also be a gross over estimate based on population in Pullman.

No, the car at the scene and in 21 other video locations is identified as a white Elantra in the PCA.
There is also the matter that Kohberger's phone moved synchronously with the car seen on video up to 2,47am when the phone went off and after the murders from 4.48am when the phone and car travelled, together from south of Moscow back to Kohberger's apartment. Surely his phone being in the car helps identify the car?
How do you know what to coverage is west of Pullman?
There are several towers that need to be passed (some circled red), including one right at the road intersection for the road going to Wawawai (circled blue) - going from central Pullman toward Wawawai in first c 2 miles of that route.
There is no technical reason a phone loses signal in central Pullman and goes all the way to Blaine via Wawawai in a signal "dark zone". That is complete and obvious nonsense, ludicrous fiction, there are 16 AT&T towers over that route - the pattern of cell towers and the signal coverage map make it clear those routes cannot be driven in any kind of no signal zone..

Yes, but that car had been moving synchronously with his phone just up to then, and in that very area -and on those two same streets - Stadium Way and Nevada Street. Car sales stats would predict c max 10 2011-2016 white Elantras in Pullman. What are the chances the one that was moving with Kohberger's phone in that area and on that street is not his? The return trip, known to be Kohberger, also traces the same route, in exact reverse - back up Stadium Way. Very coincidental?
Videos don't start until 3:26 at Indian Hills Drive and that location is actually more consistent with BK having come to Moscow from Wawawai Park
There is video at 2.53am heading south east from central Pullman toward the main Moscow Road.
There is the new video mentioned by defence of car going east on the main Moscow road - that would relate to the time around the murders or why mention it re alibi?
Video at 2.53am in Pullman isn;t consistent with going to Wawawai. The "alibi" does not state he went to Wawawai that night, just that he had been before. Approaching King Rd from Indian Hills drive could mean he travelled west-to-east on main road and south down Highway 95 through Moscow. And last, why head to Wawawai at 2.53am on a night with icy fog, overcast and poor visibility?
There are no corresponding videos of the car at 2:42 and 2:47.
On contraire - the car is noted to be travelling consistent with the phone at that time, and in same area just after that, and there is video 2 mins after the 2.42am phone location

So your argument is actually with the MPD, right? Because you don't believe, based on your calculations, that there could have been 22,000 white Elantras in those 2 small towns?
MPD did not state an area containing the 22,000 iirc. That could be several states, including major cities in adjacent Washington and Oregon.

I don't think MPD said 22,000 white Elantras in Moscow and Pullman as that also requires more than c 50% of people driving white Elantras, when those are c 0.2% of cars. Car sales data would predict a number closer to 20 white Elantras matching the PCA in Pullman.

The route from c 2.40am Pullman to King Road at c 3.29am is based on video locations. The route from 4.48am is based on both phone movements and video locations. They have not constructed a wishful route based on nothing.
The video and phone data was, in part, detailed in the PCA and will be presented at trial and cross-examined.
It is a bit ironic to state, with no evidence or data, an alternative route for 3am-5am and talk about "based on what they would like it to be rather than on solid data". There is solid video and phone data for the routes proposed by police. There is, as yet, zero data for any alternative routes.
