So you are tired of people breaking into your house and destroying your work?! Here are some solutions that YOU can try today to prevent this from happening in the future!

• ASK FOR A SNITCH

Icenia has a pretty good snitch network now so chances are if your house is damaged we can find out who did it-however it's always good to have your own snitch. Snitches record movement and log it as well-which is good for knowing who is at your house. Snitches are made by getting One Diamond and wood. It's crafted the same way a jukebox is crafted. Once you place a snitch you will need to reinforce it, I suggest you do this with iron or stone. After you reinforce the snitch you will need to name it. Usually it's best to just put MY_HOUSE as the snitch name. To get into the logs of the snitch simply just do /jainfo and a list of people will come up as to who was in your house as well as Block breaks, ignites, block place, and use.

• BASTIONS

Bastions are sponges. They are hard to make and expensive. Later I will edit this part to a link of how exactly they work. Bastions normally cost 3-4 diamonds and you can buy them from established players and cities. Bastions prevent people from breaking or placing blocks in a 15 block wide and 15 block tall area (or a chunk). Its best to have the government place bastions so you don't end up causing issues for your neighbors who may not be on your group-but if you feel you must buy one by all means do it. Bastions should always be reinforced with diamond and typically they are encased with obsidian (which you can buy in shops in Icenia for 1d for a stack). These should be reinforced with iron. Snitches prevent against lava and all sorts of things.

• reinforcing

You can reinforce your entire house as you are building using the command /ctf you must here is a example as to how it is done

Once that is done you want to click on the block you want to build with. The stone should go away. Everything will be reinforced under your group that you place. This prevents shitters from burning your house and breaking blocks. smooth stone is normally found in the factory building if you don't know how to use the stone smelter to get it simply ask. It's very easy.

Chests can be reinforced under your default group as well. Just do /ctr/ and click on the chest/snitch/item you are trying to reinforce. For unimportant chests it's best to do it with stone and for important chests it's best to reinforce with iron or diamond. Hide your important things too. Underground usually works well. If you want to be super secure buy some obsidian and make a bunker. Protect your walls by reinforcing with iron and the chests with diamond.

• SO YOU DONT HAVE DIAMONDS

Diamonds are hard to find, but when you do it pays off. Here are some basics to finding diamonds

• veins

Veins are where the money comes from. They are hard to find. To find them I suggest going far from the city and going to y-10 and digging in one direction for miles and miles. Eventually you will find a vein. Veins are spread out so when you find one its best to start strip mining. But if I can not stress one thing enouth DO NOT MINE WITHOUT A DIAMOND SILK TOUCH OR IRON SILK TOUCH PICK. The reason being is that ore is much more valuable as it can be put in an ore smelter and you can get a lot more bang for your buck. Diamond silk touch picks are very expensive however. To get diamonds for a silk touch diamond pick it's best to go on to step number two as to how to make money. Assuming you have a diamond or iron silk touch-gather the ore and take it to the ore smelter. DO NOT PUT IT IN A FURNACE AND TRY TO SMELT IT VANILLA STYLE if you do I will pearl yell at you. It's best to secure these diamonds by reinforcing them into stone in your basement (which is actually the best way) onto a group of your own or by storing them in a drop chest diamond reinforced and encased in obby. Since you just made a shit ton of diamonds this should be easy to buy.

• Trade

Shops don't make much money unless you have a ton of the item and you can sell it on CIVEXCHANGE which is player to player trade and has its own subreddit. Icenia makes a lot of its money in the OAK SAPLING TRADE and so can you! How you may ask?

A single chest of oak saplings goes for 60-50d in most cases due to it being used in XP recipes. large nations will normally buy it off of you (like /pol/). To get into this trade simply farm trees all day. When farming oak trees make sure to replant and cut the whole thing down. Let the saplings fall on their own and don't try to force it. Collect these saplings and store them and then sell them by posting on Civexchange or by asking us who needs them. You can get some serious diamonds doing this.
