I am looking to purchase 2 rods and at least 1 reel. I finally want my own gear and not have to rely on my grandpa or dad. The first rod is for walleye fishing on lakes in Minnesota (biggest being Lake of the Woods). The second rod is for panfish fishing. I would also like an in-line reel to combine with them. I have around 225-250 dollars to spend and that includes line and some tackle. If it makes a difference I’ll be walleye fishing mainly in an Ice Castle and panfish fishing either in a clam or outdoors.

I would call myself a seasoned beginner when it comes to ice fishing. I’ve always been able to catch fish but have been given my equip to me so I’m not familiar with the specifics of rods and reels. I do know my buddy recommends the black Betty reels. Thanks in advance.
