Post Body

So I have a few major life goals.

  1. To no longer be financially dependent on anyone (currently depend on a spouse's income, I'm autistic and have had little luck with employment).
  2. To be a digital nomad, or at least, fund a travel "habit" much of the year, and I want to leave the USA permanently.
  3. To have work that I find creatively interesting, and can do from anywhere, supporting goals 1 and 2.

I have no degrees, but I'm skilled in graphic design (which I also have an online certificate in), editing, and writing. I have been a beta reader, blogger, professional book critic, etc.

I have been a writing tutor. I would like to find work in editing, but it seems so hard to break into if you've never had one paying client before.

I've noticed the same with graphic design (even though I had a portfolio). I think I'd be good at it, or video editing, because of my attention to detail and visual thinking. But I can't figure out how to get clients?

What should I do?
