IWTL, How to properly calibrate a newer laptop battery.
Post Body

I own several portables which I have always semi-calibrated the batteries on them, go from 100% to turn off or hibernation and charge to 100% again. I have a feeling this isn't the exact correct way. But then again my 2001 TiBook still is on it's original battery and holds about 1hr and 30min charge which is still damn good.

Everything I've seen retaining to laptop batteries always discusses old Ni-Cad and Li-on and nothing or not much about Li-Poly.

Now my newest computer, an HP dv5, I want to be a little more cautious about my battery habits so I can get the most out of my battery. Currently I have my low battery level set at 18% and I always plug in when it comes on and charge to 95~100%. I guess pretty much I should ask, Am I charging and maintaining correctly?
