When I’m irritated or anxious about anything, I tend to be short when answering people. I absolutely hate this about myself, especially because I grew up with a mother who did it and I know how it makes people feel, especially kids. I’ve noticed my own daughter being short when she gets irritated or stressed and I want to break this habit in her before it’s too late. However, I don’t know how to break it in myself and that needs to be done first. Please help!
Edit to add: I’m talking about when I’m irritated or anxious about something unrelated to the person I’m being short with. Like if I’m annoyed about traffic and my daughter asks me a question while we’re in the car then I’m sometimes short with her when I answer.
