I’m looking to either work/volunteer in France next summer for 10-12 weeks before I go to university (I’m starting planning now). I’ll be 18, almost 19 at that time and I’m looking for either retail jobs or volunteer opportunities if that isn’t possible. I have two years of retail experience currently (which is also ongoing) and I am learning French (I’m currently at a conversational level but I am taking Alevel French and several courses on the side that teach French to people moving to France for work). I’m not too sure of the current visa rules due to Brexit and I’m struggling to understand how the process itself works now that I’m no longer an EU citizen. The purpose of the time abroad is to interact with the language more before doing it as a degree and Id like to also experience different cultures and have something to add to my cv. I know how hard it will be to find jobs/lodgings as a foreigner so if anyone has any advice I’d really appreciate hearing it :) Or if anyone has any “better” recommendations I’m open to hearing them too, just wanting to find out if this would be possible.
