I will start with the basics about me:
US/ Mexico Dual Citizen
Fluent in English and Spanish
Took Three Years of French in High School, and have been practicing the language and learning more about French culture since the start of COVID lockdowns.
Still in College/University pursuing a business degree. Expected to graduate in three years.
Born and raised in the SF Bay Area in California.
Only other country I have visited is Mexico.
I am interested in moving to France mainly because I believe that I will have a better life there compared to the US. I donβt like how the US has become politically divided and how responding to COVID has become a political battle. The work-life balance in France and Europe in general is another reason that I am considering moving. I know that every country has its problems and no country is perfect. But at this point I believe that the emigrating is worth it.
I am specifically choosing France because I have been fascinated by the country and it's culture since I was a child. It is also the European country that I am most familiar with as I have studied it's language and culture for years now. I am also friends with an International student from France who could help me become adjusted,
My questions are:
Would it be easier for me to apply as a Mexican citizen instead of US?
What is the climate like in the south?
Do I have to be hired in France before I can get a visa?
Is marriage the easiest way to Permanent Residency?
How is the political atmosphere in France?
