Hello /r/IWantOut,

As the title suggests I want out of Canada my ideal places to go as of now is probably Sweden or Denmark also Australia but that is more of a long shot because online it shows it has a much higher cost of living.

I've been working for about 2 years now making pretty good money for my age (according to friends/family) so I managed to save up around $12,000. One of my problems trying to accomplish this is I only have a high school diploma, right after high school my father got me a job straight away which I've kept thus far, reading though other posts, after high school education is very important. Is it possible to still move out with this burden?

One of my main reasons for wanting to get out is that I am stuck in a constant loop which kills me. My time after work and weekends don't even feel like a break because I know in no time i'm back stuck in my loop. I know once I leave in no time I would be doing the same thing over and over, but even if I was everything would be different because I have new things to understand and new experiences which excites me to no end.

Main goals I have when I get out is to find any source of income, right now I work in construction which, like everywhere is always needed, no matter where construction is always needed so I would like to think that I could do that for a little bit. Even if I had to work in a supermarket part time I would be okay with that. Looking online it shows that jobs in Sweden/Denmark are always in demand which is good because I assume my money will deplete much faster than I would like.

A concern while doing this is my family will not condone this at all, whenever I bring up me living somewhere alone even near my home or going on a vacation by myself they are very adamant about me not doing anything alone, I always need someone to go with, because (mostly my mother) is scared which is obvious, so something I would like to ask is have anyone ever done this secretive or just kept this from their family and how did it go, I wouldn't just disappear I would leave some sort of note/message telling them about the situation I was in.

My timeline to attempt to complete this is the sooner the better, I have the determination to leave tomorrow if it was possible. I do know that I would need a Visa which could take a long time, suitable paperwork and such, also reading online some places show I need references like my current boss or some others that could vouch for me if I want to work how much of this is needed, like I said above I would love to not tell my parents because honestly they don't understand, but if references are needed and my current boss needs to be a part of it would never happen.

Re-reading this it is a wall of text and I don't blame you for not reading, I just want to know more about this because I am passionate and I am in need or more in life.
