This is probably the most noobish post you will ever see on here, please bare with me. I've considered this a lot this past year, and I know if I want to do it I need to set some goals...which I don't have.
I'm 26. I have a mostly administrative background with some IT cert's from 8 years ago when I was in the military. I'm currently in school and in a positive position for changing my degree to whatever I want for minimal cost. I simply need to know where I'm going, so I know what to learn to get the jobs (and speak the language) that are there.
I am a single parent. My ex would give up all rights, permission, etc. for us to go to a foreign country. But said country has to allow that, AND be somewhat accepting of single parents.
The main reasons we are looking at getting are healthcare, employment opportunities, better work conditions, better education. After that, I'm not a fan of the tropics. That's all we're looking for. Literally a better shot at life.
Where should I start? As in, how do I best narrow down our options based on what we're looking for (I understand we're probably not going to get all we want)? Whats the best way to determine if a place offers what I'm looking for? All the research starts after deciding where to go, and it's a very large world out there.
Edit: From the US! Oops! And I was trying so hard to get this post right!
