Post Body

I'm a 42F that will be completing a Master of Social Work early 2024. I'd ideally like to work as a Social Worker in the United States, failing that in Singapore.

I know that each US state has differing licensing requirements (I know where to check for that, so no advice needed there) - but I'd like to know the general state of applying for jobs in the US & Singapore. Questions as follows:

  1. are international candidates automatically discarded as they don't want to sponsor? (there is a special E3 visa for Australians)
  2. Is age a factor in being an attractive candidate?
  3. which online jobs board is best?
  4. which city would be best if you don't have a car? (probably none haha, as Aus is car-centric too - this question wouldn't be applicable for Singapore)

Thanks!
