Born in 352 to Roselyn and Cedric Tully, Edric was the second son of the Tully family. He was born mute and as such much of his early life was devoted to the studies of writing and reading so that he could communicate effectively. Unlike his older brother he was never raised with any intent of continuing his father’s work but instead allowed to study as he pleased.

Riverrun’s Master-at-Arms Addam Grell taught Edric archery from a young age. The art of archery seemed to resonate with Edric. Unlike sword play it could be done in complete silence, a fact that Edric quite liked.

As he was mute, Edric was not allowed anywhere without supervision as a child. In fear that something might happen to him and no one would see, much less hear him when it did. With little freedom in this regard Edric would confide himself to reading writing and practicing archery. He tried his best to remain unnoticed as he had heard tale of the many attempts on his father’s life, and did not wish to draw unneeded to himself.

The first time that Edric found himself in the public eye was at the Grand Tourney of Riverrun in 365 AC. He had been entered into the archery competition by his father as a passing thought, but to the surprise of all in attendance the young and silence Edric took first place after landing all five arrows in his target. A feat not easily accomplish by a 12 year old. Edric began to take a great deal of pride in his archery skills and would often loyter it over his brother whom had come second in the tournament. To this day he practices archery daily and is considered by many to be a master of the bow. Additionally, Edric trained himself in the arts of investigation and espionage so that he could more effectively serve his house.

As the acting Lord of Riverrun from 368-372 AC, Edric did his best to continue to rebuilding of the region while maintaining his spy rings in secret. During this time Edric he hosted both Lord Stark and had Lord Lannister as a prisoner.

During the Second War of Reclamation word came back to Riverrun of Robb’s attempt on the King’s life. This enraged Edric. Not the fact that Robb had done it, but the fact that he had failed to fell the king. Upon Robb’s return to Riverrun, Edric gave him three things. First, a handmade bow created from Stormland lumber, second a single arrow with silvered head and an impression of a stag on it, and finally a note that simply read “Don’t miss”. A joke amongst the attendants at Riverrun became that if Edric had gone in Robb’s place King Baratheon would no longer be drawing breath.

However, Edric holds nothing but love for his older brother in his heart. The gifts he made out of anger. To this day Edric holds a grudge against both King Orys I and Lord Arryn for putting his brother in great danger.

**Supporting Characters**

Turtle - Archetype: Warrior (Shield)

A mute, like Edric, who was orphaned by his family when he was young. Edric found and taught the him for to read and write, and had Addam Grell train in extensively with Shields. He does not remember his own name and was given the name Turtle by Edric for his sometimes stand-offish nature. He serves as one of Edric’s personal guards.

Shark - Archetype: Warrior (Two-Handed)

A hulking individual who had served as one of his father Cedric’s guards. His teeth are jagged and resemble those of a shark’s on first glance. He has watched over Edric since he was young and was often the one to accompany him when he wished to explore outside the castle.

Wymar Rivers (Nickname: Trout) - Archetype: Executioner

The bastard son of Walda Tully, trained in the art of torture and a childhood friend of Edric’s. A larger man, he was given the nickname ‘Trout’ by Edric when they were young as he thought that Wymar’s face resembled that of a trout’s. He was trained as an executioner and serves under Edric as an aid in information collection.
