Should I switch from an internal IT team into an MSP?

Post Body

So I’ve been with my current company for about a year and a half. It’s an internal IT team where work life balance is SOLID. Very low stress, but the catch is that I’m barely ever doing or learning anything. I have hours and hours of downtime in between tasks. I was promoted from the helpdesk into a Backup/Recovery/Storage Admin role.

I recently interviewed for shits and giggles at a very large MSP and got the job as a NOC Analyst. Basically a tier 1.5 - 2 team where tickets from the helpdesk get sent. Im very early in my career which is why I’m considering taking the job. Pay is better than my current company, but not by much. The main benefit I’m seeing for myself is the experience.

What would you do?
