Next week, I'm meeting the team at a potential employer where I become a little more than just a DBA. It's a good job and I'm currently employed in another good job, so it's not an urgent thing.
I'm not young and I've passed through "tech bro" dress. I think I'm going to dress down a bit to meet the team so I appear to dress similarly. Any opinions on this idea are welcome.
My biggest concern is, I'm older. I'm never going to pretend to be someone I am not and have no regrets or shame about my career path. But, I would still like to "fit in" to what is more like a .com than the stodgy very big enterprise environment I've been in for over a decade.
Any good ideas you can share with me to help the team meeting go well?
TLDR: Longtime IT worker in stodgy environment meeting the other IT employees at a potential job (that I want) next week. Any advice is welcome.
