Should my resume be more than 1 page?

I've been updating my resume over the past week and with all the information I want to give, I can't get to shorter than 1.5 pages. I have over 5 years of experience since my last resume and I think most of the information I put in is pertinent information. Should I shorten the resume and rely heavily on the cover letter or keep the resume at 2 pages?
