Is it worth negotiating salary after starting a new position?
Post Body

I recently started a new position at an IT company that didn't require any certifications, which was great at the time. However, Iโ€™ve since passed the Security exam, something none of my coworkers have. We all earn roughly the same salary. Is itโ€™s worth trying to renegotiate my salary or if I should just focus on gaining experience and moving forward? For context, this is my first job in IT.

Another question, if another company gives me an offer with better pay and utilizes my Security cert would that make me look bad moving forward?
