When to leave 6 month contract?
Post Body

Just a quick question, I have been hired as an onsite IT technician for basic helpdesk, onboarding/offboarding etc.

Pay is amazing, but the reason for it is because the position is only open for 6 months.

How do these types of jobs work? I am working for an IT contractor, and it sounds like I'm mainly there to offboard, support until they close the site.

How would you go about this? Right now i'm about half way through my CCNA studies and see myself taking the exam in about 4 months.

Also when should I be applying for a new job? This one took me a bit to find and I'm afraid if I ignore this now, in 4 months i'll be given a last day date, without a backup.

Any advice appreciated, thank you
