Transitioning into the field with minimal pay cut?
Post Body

So I just started working on my B.S. for Network Engineering & Security through WGU. I have my A and plan on getting my Net and Sec on my own dime while riding the Cisco track.

I'm currently in retail management. Have been for almost 5 years now and I'm now bringing in about 85k/yr. I know I'll be taking a pay cut initially when I jump industries, but I've taken on bills, I bought a house, etc

I'm beyond nervous. Will I be able to land an entry-level IT job with the credentials I'm currently aiming for that is at LEAST 70k? Is there anything I need to add to ensure this minimum before I start job searching?
