Recently started a system engineer position at a non-FAANG company at 160k a year base comp. Thinking about getting an aws certified solution architect professional certification and making the jump to a Amazon cloud engineer position.
But before I start preping for this, I would like to ask if anybody here knows the Amazon cloud engineer salary in terms of total compensations? And does Amazon offer relocation assistance? L3-L5. I saw salaries on website like glassdoor but I never put much faith in their accuracies. I would like to verify a general salary expectation before spending an large amount of time studying for an aws sa professional cert.
I have one year of cloud experience, 6 year of total IT experience, a bachelor in cyber security, CISSP, ts w/ poly, and 10 random low-mid level certs such as sec , ccna, aws practitoner, ITIL Foundation, etc. I'm hoping to start at level 4 but understand it may be unlikely due to lack of cloud experience. But I'm hoping my certs and the knowledge from getting an aws sa pro cert could make up for it.
