I’m an IT Manager (sole IT person) for an SMB who is PE backed and acquired several companies recently. I cut ties with two MSP’s we had to internalize all of our IT. I manage 85 Windows endpoints, 150 Android tablets, and 7 different physical locations network infrastructure. I also handle IT security policies, end user support, purchasing, contract management, etc. Eventually I’ll hire an engineer to assist with workload but where are my next steps for growth? I’ve been in multiple IT positions from engineer to upper management for 15 years for a large enterprise. Just recently switched to SMB. Our current company has no CTO, Director, or VP of IT - just me. I actually like it that way as I’m solely responsible for all decisions. Just wondering if anyone else had similar experience and wondering what long term looks like. I’m new to the SMB realm.
