So I'm a disabled veteran, and thankfully I have assistance from the VA. They will be paying for my education in full. I am attending the Community College of Philadelphia, and my major is Information Technology.
My VA counselor wants me to specify the types of roles/position that I would be interested in, and it's the only way that I can move forward in the program (I have to choose a career that I want, then a degree program that will help propel me into my chosen career path).
So my request from you ladies and gents is what career path should I take? Should I focus on Cyber Security? Computer Programming? IT Mangement? Others?
Do any of you have any advice to give me before I set sail and focus on a particular field? Should I broaden my education, or should I take a particular route?
Thanks in advance!
Edit: For those wondering, my initial goal was to become a Help Desk Analyst, only because I thought I was going to have just an associate degree.
