Job offer to it director, no idea if I should take it

I was offered a job to be an it director for an 11 company conglomerate. I currently have a senior sysadmin job at a school district that I’ve been at for 15 years, however my current boss who just got hired is a disaster, treating his employees like they’re 5, and micromanaging like crazy. Only reason I’m considering leaving. How do you decide on this move?
