How do you approach a commitment that has evolved from it’s original purpose?
Post Body

Last year in autumn, I got into a weekly badminton session with a friend to work on my fitness levels. At first it was great for me, I’d come back exhausted every week. Unfortunately my friend didn’t feel challenged by my level so a few weeks in, he invited a mutual friend to play with us without consulting me. At first I was a little annoyed but in heinsight, even if he asked, I’d have no unselfish reason to say no.

Anyway since this new friend came along, I’ve left each session no longer feeling the slightest bit worked out, which was my original goal. Not to mention this mutual friend of ours is very laid back so we often book courts last minute to fit her schedule. We also changed courts for her so now the journey is twice as long for me.

I haven’t said anything as I’m the only one bothered by the changes, and I’m aware that as an ISTJ, I can be rigid sometimes.

Just wondering if others have been in similar situations and how they dealt with it?
