My fiancé's federal tax return is finally pending in our account after 3 months. There is an additional $1400 EIP payment pending and her return was exactly $1200 higher than we expected.
She did not receive her first stimulus payment, but did receive her second and third payment. I claimed our daughter in 2019, so I received all of the additional payments for her in the three rounds of stimulus payments.
I'm thinking they gave my fiancé's extra credit for my daughter on both the 1st and 3rd payment. We factored in the $1200 she was owed in the amount we were expected. But there was not an extra amount for the second payment. I'm very confused.
To recap:
I claimed my daughter in 2019. I got credit for my daughter in all three stimulus payments.
My fiancé claimed my daughter in 2020 and never received only the first stimulus payment for herself. Even with that owed amount accounted for in her expected return, she received an extra $1200 in the return as well as an additional $1400 EIP3 payment.
Any thoughts? Should she be receiving this extra money?
