I filed with TT on 01/29. My federal was accepted on 2/11. Continuously checked WMR and transcripts; not much changing. Last week on WMR, the amount of my return disappeared and Tax Topic 152 appeared. I called the IRS on Friday and was told that my return was in the Errors Department because they needed to verify my identity. She said a letter should be sent out, but it hadn’t yet, so she told me to try the website. I tried to verify my identity on the website and it wouldn’t allow me. Checked my WMR today and the amount has returned, TT 152 has disappeared, and no transcript update. Now I am back to the beginning where I am trying desperately to get through to a human being at the IRS. This is annoying and frustrating.
