I keep reading people in the same situations getting different answers… and I’ve decided the IRS is just saying things based off of the info you give them and they actually have no idea what they’re talking about. I think the wording is just to push people to wait. For example I’ve called 3 times and gave them 3 different stories and I’ve gotten 3 different answers. All 3 of these reps “looked up my information”. 🤔 I don’t think there’s 3 of me with 3 different accounts that they’re looking up and giving me this information from. I’m starting to think we will process when we process regardless of what we do or don’t do. Also there are people that never look at wmr and never look at transcripts.. ever.. and I don’t see them saying anything. Anyways I don’t need my refund so I’m going to see what actually happens if I just ignore their mystery letter if it ever does come 🤷🏼♀️ The most they can do is not give me my refund.. and if they don’t, I will file my refund amount next year under charity.. bc they obviously need it.
