Can anyone recommend a firearm safety program for teens in the Indianapolis area? I'm looking for something that will teach teens how to safely handle various types of guns, how to check if they are loaded, and how to safely unload them. Too many kids are shooting each other on accident because they don't safely handle guns, and I don't want my kid to be in that situation.
These are the basic rules I require my guests to memorize before we go to the range. I’ll give them these rules the day before range day. One of my passions is to spread firearm safety through friends and interested individuals. 1. Treat all firearms as loaded until you’ve checked them clear and safe. 2. Never point a firearm at anything you don’t intend to shoot. 3. Always keep the muzzle pointed in a safe direction. 4. Maintain a straight trigger finger until you’re ready to shoot.

100% agreed. There’s no such thing as an accidental discharge during a firearms cleaning
